Western partners do not demand that Ukraine start negotiations with Russia to freeze the war, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said in an interview with El Pais, RBC-Ukraine reports.
"This is not on the table, our allies do not ask us to negotiate with Russia to freeze the war, neither when we met in the format of delegations nor at closed meetings in a shortened format. This is something that no-one dares to put on the table as an option. The rest is just noise," Kuleba said.
The minister noted that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin wants neither peace nor a freeze on the war.
Kuleba added that those who suggest Ukraine freeze the war are actually helping the Kremlin and ignoring the Russian threat.
"There are wars in which one side must win and the other must lose. And Russia's aggression against Ukraine is just such a war. Ukraine must win. Russia must lose. And all political thinking should be focused on achieving this goal," the foreign minister said.
