Ukraine has developed an armour-piercing ammunition for FPV drones. It is attached to the FPV drone using nylon clamps, the Army of Drones project has said on Telegram.
"This weapon is effective against lightly armoured vehicles (self-propelled guns, infantry fighting vehicles, armoured personnel carriers), which are protected by shaped-charge-proof and anti-drone means," the description reads.
The warhead of the new EFP-S ammunition has a "shock core", a powerful armour-piercing effect and a long range of remote destruction.
Weight of the striking element: 165 g, velocity of the striking element: 1,800 m/s, effective kill radius: 8 metres.
The EFP-S munition consists of:
a removable body part;
screws for fixing the removable part;
cap for fixing the detonator;
adapter for attachment to the drone frame;
a sight for alignment of the heading camera;
rubber lining.
