In his evening address on 13 January, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he had held several international meetings today.

The first meeting was online with the leaders of Bulgaria's parliamentary coalition. The parties discussed common security in Europe. The president thanked the leaders of the coalition for understanding that Russian aggression is a threat to the happiness and well-being of all European nations.

"Also today, I met the new minister of foreign affairs of France. It is very symbolic that the minister's first visit is to Ukraine and at a time when Russia is trying different ways to increase the number of strikes on Ukraine and the ability to bypass our air defence. I am grateful to all states and France in particular for a very serious strengthening of our air shield, for the constant support on the battlefield for our soldiers, assistance to our people," the president said.

He noted that today the parties discussed defence needs, including joint production of drones and artillery, as well as further strengthening of air defence.

"I spoke about the work on the Peace Formula. I am grateful to France for its active participation in this global effort," the president said.

Zelenskyy noted that preparations for the Davos Forum are already underway. To present Ukraine's position and opportunities - "the common opportunities for everyone in the world who wants to leave their children a world where stability reigns and freedom matters. Our values, not the madness of this or that dictator".

Today, 13 January, new French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné arrived in Kyiv. He and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba discussed the supply of air defence systems and missiles, as well as Ukraine's accession to NATO and the EU.
