This morning, 13 January, Russia attacked Ukraine once again, using Kh-31P and Kinzhal cruise missiles. Explosions were heard in a number of regions, Ukraine's Air Force has said.
In particular, the Kinzhal missiles were fired in the direction of Lutsk, Rivne, Kyiv, Dnipro and Kryvyy Rih. There was also a threat to Khmelnytskyy Region, in particular, Starokostyantyniv, as well as to Lviv Region.
Launches of Kh-31P cruise missiles were recorded in the direction of Beryslav District of Kherson Region.
In total, Russia used six Tu-95MS aircraft, six Tu-22M3 aircraft, five MiG-31K aircraft in the morning, and ballistic missiles were also launched from occupied Crimea.
The situation in the regions:
In Rivne Region, air defence systems were operating without damage or consequences.
In Chernihiv Region, air defence systems were also operating, and there was damage as a result of the attack. There were no casualties.
Poltava Region: one of Russian missiles landed in the yard of a private house in Kremenchuk District, but did not explode. There were no casualties.
Aviation exercises were conducted in Kirovohrad Region. No casualties or damage were reported.
Khmelnytskyy Region: air defence forces were activated, an air target was shot down. Critical infrastructure and people were not affected.
