Ukraine needs urgent help from its allies and partners, as any delay in meeting the needs of Ukrainian defenders during the war with Russia costs lives, the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, has said on the air of National Public Radio, according to the president's website.

According to him, it is difficult to hold the territory when there is a shortage of ammunition.

"Our soldiers, our heroes are holding the territory, but it is extremely difficult given the shortage of artillery ammunition. However, during the full-scale invasion, Ukraine managed to liberate more than 50% of its occupied territory. But, of course, without ammunition, as well as a number of other important things for the fight, it is extremely difficult for our soldiers today. So, no doubt, I will emphasise once again: urgent assistance is extremely important for us, because the price of time during the war means lost human lives," said Yermak.

He recalled that Ukraine is not ready to give up its territories.

"We are not ready for any compromises and concessions regarding our independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as our freedom," he said.

Yermak noted that although there are various conflicts and wars in the world, Ukraine remains a priority topic, as the war with Russia is the largest in Europe since World War Two. Therefore, more and more countries are joining the process of finding a peaceful solution based on the Ukrainian peace formula.

"After the meeting in Davos, where we had an event with the participation of 82 countries, including countries that have rather complicated relations with each other, we all sat at the same table and discussed Ukraine for more than 8 hours: how to stop the war, how to ensure a just peace, how to develop a detailed plan from the international community of responsible states and implement it in the future," he said.
