NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said in an interview with Radio Liberty that Ukraine will have the right to use F-16 fighter jets to destroy Russian military targets, including those outside the country's borders.
According to him, Ukraine is opposing an aggressive war, so it has the right to self-defence, which makes military targets on Russian territory legitimate.
Stoltenberg also said that all allies would like to provide Ukraine with the aircraft as soon as possible, but agreed that in order to increase the impact of the F-16 on the war, a prerequisite is a sufficient level of pilot training and good training of personnel who will provide technical support for the fighters.
