In the operational area of the Tavriya operational and strategic group of troops, Russians have concentrated its main activity in Donetsk Region. In the Avdiyivka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 19 Russian attacks in the vicinity of Stepove, Lastochkine, Severne, Pervomayske and Nevelske.
Tavriya commander Oleksandr Tarnavskyy said Russians were regrouping after the losses from the Avdiyivka operation, pulling in reserves and actively using aviation. The defenders are strengthening their echelon defence, reinforcing with additional units and creating new firing positions.
In the Maryinka sector, defence forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Heorhiyivka, Pobeda and Novomykhaylivka.
"In the Zaporizhzhya sector, Ukrainian troops repelled eight enemy attacks in the vicinity of Robotyne, where Russians are trying to conduct offensive actions in small assault groups, again using ATVs. Three Russian ATVs were destroyed and damaged over the last day on 21 February," said Tarnavskyy.
