On the morning of 9 March 2024, the Russians attacked Ukraine with 15 Shahed attack drones from Cape Chauda in Crimea and Russia's Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
Anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces were involved in repelling the air attack.
"As a result of combat operations, air defence destroyed 12 Shaheds within Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Poltava regions," Ukraine's Air Force said.
