French and Ukrainian defence groups are planning to form a partnership to boost Kyiv's military efforts, including the production of drones and weapons parts. French Defence Minister Sébastien Lecornu told RMC radio, Bloomerg reports.
"This morning I am announcing that French companies will create partnerships to produce equipment in Ukraine," he said on Friday.
In particular, he mentioned French drone manufacturer Delair and Franco-German battle tank manufacturer KNDS.
According to Lecornu, the companies will consider joint production of ammunition, although this will take more time.
He also confirmed that France has ordered 200 MBDA Aster surface-to-air missiles, some of which will be sent to Ukraine.
