The Russian military attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 16 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs on 23 April. The defenders of the sky destroyed 15 Russian drones. This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Force.
Russians launched the missiles from the Belgorod Region of Russia, and the Shaheds from Cape Chauda in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
"The attack was repelled by anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force and mobile firing groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, and electronic warfare means were used," the Ukrainian Armed Forces added.
The drones were shot down within Mykolayiv, Odesa, Kyiv and Cherkasy Regions.
