On the night of 2 May, Russians once again attacked Odesa with ballistic missiles. A massive fire broke out at the site of the hit.
This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper.
Later, the press service of Nova Poshta reported that a Russian missile had hit the company's sorting depot and offices.
"There were no deaths or injuries among our employees. The estimated value of all the parcels that were destroyed as a result of the strike will be compensated to customers in full. We will contact all recipients tomorrow," he said in a statement.
The company added that the parcels that were in transit were redirected to Nova Poshta's branch No. 3 in Odesa.
As of this morning, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine has clarified that 14 people were injured, one man was hospitalised in a moderate condition. All others were provided with assistance on the spot.
The State Emergency Service involved 68 rescuers, including psychologists.
In addition, the city's civilian infrastructure, including postal warehouses, was damaged. A large-scale fire broke out at the site, which has already been extinguished by firefighters. The State Emergency Service used 19 vehicles.
