The foreign ministers of 46 Council of Europe member states have adopted a declaration under the chairmanship of Liechtenstein reaffirming support for Ukraine on the path to the creation of a Special Tribunal for Russia in the future, Ukrinform reports.

"Further decisions in support of Ukraine include progress towards the possible establishment of a Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression and relate, in particular, to the Advisory Group for Children of Ukraine and the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children," the declaration reads.

"Until a just and lasting peace is achieved in accordance with the principles of the United Nations Charter and respect for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, which form the basis of President Zelenskyy's Peace Formula, countering the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine will remain our strategic priority."

The Council of Europe ministers reaffirmed the importance of the Register of Damage, which is an important component of the international compensation mechanism. The Council of Europe also assured that it would continue to support Ukrainians.

The Foreign Ministers also adopted the Framework Convention on Artificial Intelligence, which will be open for signature in Vilnius during the Lithuanian presidency in September.
