Ukraine's Defence Minister Rustem Umerov said that the situation on the frontline near Kharkiv is difficult but under control.
He said this on CNN, Ukrinform reports.
"The situation is difficult, but it is under control. We are stabilising the situation, but we still need help in the form of more weapons," the minister said.
The head of the Defence Ministry said that Russians are shelling residents and settlements near the state border. The fighting continues there.
"So, they are crossing the border, another invasion has begun, and we are repelling them. We want to save lives, so we are evacuating people to Kharkiv. It is from there (from the cities near the state border - Ed.) that we evacuate people so that they do not come under Russian shelling," Umerov said.
