Lithuania hands over new batch of military aid to Ukraine

The Lithuanian Ministry of Defence has handed over another batch of military aid to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which includes drones, anti-drone systems, small arms ammunition and other supplies.

This is stated on the official website of the Lithuanian Ministry of Defence.

In particular, the new aid package includes 

  • 5.56×45 mm ammunition for small arms
  • drones
  • anti-drone systems
  • ammunition for the Carl Gustaf anti-tank grenade launcher
  • fuzing systems; generators; L-39ZA light attack aircraft; 100 kW generators 
  • folding beds.

The batch of military aid for the Armed Forces of Ukraine has already arrived in Ukraine.

The Ministry of Defence noted that Lithuania has already provided Ukraine with military support worth about €616 million. Since the beginning of the year, support has already been provided for approximately €95 million. They assured that the dynamics of support for Ukraine would continue.

In early May, the Lithuanian government announced that it was ready to send its military to Ukraine on a training mission to help train the Ukrainian military. In April, Lithuania handed over M577 armoured personnel carriers to Ukraine.
