Russia launches two airstrikes on Kharkiv: casualties reported

The strike was carried out in the Kholodnohirskyy district of Kharkiv. The death toll has risen to three.

On Friday, 17 May, the Russian occupiers carried out two air strikes on the Kholodnohirskyy district of Kharkiv

As of 20:30, the death toll from the air strikes on Kharkiv increased to three people, and the number of wounded increased to 28, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said.

As of 18:20, the number of injured had risen to 25. Two more civilians were rescued, the mayor said.

As of 17:40, the number of injured increased to 19 people. Among them are 18 men and 1 woman. Their ages range from 20 to 60 years. 

According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, 4 people are in serious condition. The rest are in average condition. 2 men aged about 45 died.

As of 16:30, the death toll had risen to two, and the number of wounded to 13. Four of them are in serious condition, said Oleh Synyehubov, head of the Regional Military Administration.

Initially, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov wrote that the shelling left one dead and four wounded.

There were several explosions, and fires broke out at the sites of the hits. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

"According to preliminary data, the Russians launched two strikes with multiple rocket launchers, in particular, in the Kholodnohirskyi district of Kharkiv. At the moment, we know about five victims, all of them are civilians," the head of the military administration wrote.
