Russia is opposing the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland and is trying to dissuade countries from participating in it. The head of the Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov, said this on the My-Ukraine TV channel.
According to him, the Russians are quite active and have visited all countries except Western Europe. In some countries where they cannot get in, the Russians are using economic leverage and other states.
"Russia is opposing, it is quite understandable. They cannot act otherwise. We do something, a step, and they take a step to counteract us," the DIU chief commented.
He added that after the peace summit, Russia's reaction would be "more or less restrained".
