On the night of 14 June, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with missiles of various types and attack drones. The occupiers used a total of 31 air targets: 14 missiles and 17 attack UAVs. Ukrainian defenders managed to shoot down 24 air targets. This was reported by Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk.
Russia fired:
- ten X-101/X-555 cruise missiles from Tu-95 MS strategic aircraft (launch area: Saratov Region, Russia)
- three Iskander-M ballistic missiles (launched from Crimea and Russia's Krasnodar Territory)
- an X-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missile (from the airspace of the Russian Tambov Region)
- 17 Shahed-131/136 strike UAVs (launch area - Russian Yeysk)
"Fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force, mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare equipment of the Ukrainian Defence Forces were involved in repelling the enemy's air attack," the Air Force commander said.
During the anti-aircraft battle in Khmelnytskyy, Kharkiv, Mykolayiv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk and Kirovohrad Regions, 24 air targets were shot down:
- seven cruise missiles X-101/X-555
- 17 attack UAVs of the Shahed-131/136 type
According to this data, three cruise missiles, three Iskander-Ms and a Kinzhal failed to be shot down. But the defenders shot down all the Shaheds.
