On the night of 4 July, Ukrainian air defence shot down 21 Russian Shahed drones in six Regions, the commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk has reported.
Russia attacked Ukraine with 22 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs, he said. The drones were flying from the Kursk Region of Russia.
As a result of combat operations, anti-aircraft missile units, mobile fire groups of the Defence Forces and electronic warfare units of the Air Force of Ukraine shot down 21 Shaheds within Kyiv, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava Regions.
