The Kyiv city budget will reimburse the cost of independent energy sources for Kyiv buildings depending on their number of storeys. Currently, the amount of compensation is the same for all buildings and amounts to UAH 80 thousand. The decision to increase the amount of compensation will be considered by the Kyiv City Council at its plenary session on 4 July, and Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has already announced its adoption.
The deputies are amending the current procedure for partial reimbursement of the cost of purchased independent energy sources for Kyiv buildings. Currently, all condominiums/apartment building co-owners associations/managers are entitled to receive compensation in the amount of 75% of the cost of the sources, but not more than UAH 80 thousand. Under the new regulation, this maximum amount will be increased as follows:
- UAH 100 thousand for buildings up to 6 floors;
- UAH 200 thousand for buildings with 7-16 floors;
- UAH 300 thousand for buildings with 17 floors and more and with roof or built-in/attached boilers.
Compensation can be received for petrol, diesel, gas generators, solar charging stations, inverters, etc. purchased for maintenance purposes.
Reimbursement is made after the equipment has been purchased, by submitting an application to the district state administration. Read more about the compensation procedure here.
