The Security Service of Ukraine has initiated more than 7,000 criminal proceedings for collaboration, and about a thousand criminals have already been sentenced.

This was announced at a press conference by SBU spokesman Artem Dekhtyarenko, a LB.ua correspondent reports.

‘Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the SBU has opened more than 7,400 criminal proceedings related to collaboration and aiding the aggressor state. More than 1,000 people have already been convicted under these articles,’ he said.

According to him, over 3,800 criminal proceedings have been opened under Article 111 of the Criminal Code on high treason, of which almost 550 people have been convicted.

‘The SBU has also opened almost 500 criminal proceedings on unauthorised dissemination of information. These are the so-called correctors, and more than 120 people have been convicted... Of all the convicts, about 500 people have agreed to be exchanged and participate in this programme. More than 200 of these 500 people have already agreed to publish their data in the project ‘I want to be with my people’. This means that these people are currently waiting for the exchange, but you can see that Russia is in no hurry to take their own. On the website, under each case, there is a countdown of how long this person has been waiting for an exchange. And it makes it clear that Russian curators have simply used them and left most of their informants and agents to their fate,’ he added.
