The hottest area in Kherson Region remains Prydniprovskyy, where the enemy conducts daily assault operations. As for Krynky, the settlement has been almost destroyed, but Ukrainian Armed Forces units continue to perform combat missions in the area.
This was stated by Dmytro Lykhoviy, spokesman for the Tavriya operational and strategic group of troops, in a commentary to the Krym.Realii project of Radio Svoboda.
Lykhoviy said that the Ukrainian Defence Forces continue combat missions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson Region, including near the village of Krynky and on the islands in the area.
‘The positions of Ukrainian forces in the village of Krynky were completely destroyed as a result of intense, prolonged enemy shelling and air strikes. The village itself is almost completely destroyed. There is no possibility to hold the defence there, no possibility to cling to any fortifications, and therefore Ukrainian defenders are now on other designated positions and footholds, as well as on the left bank of the Dnipro,’ he said. The spokesperson also noted that across the entire operational area of the Tavriya operational group of troops, the Prydniprovya direction is ‘the hottest, but relatively speaking, there are enemy assaults there every day’.
