On the night of 25 July, the military of the 31st Brigade managed to break through the enemy's encirclement in the Prohres area of Donetsk Region, the Deep State project reported.
According to analysts, the observation posts of the 1st and 3rd battalions were completely surrounded, but despite this, the brigade commander allegedly did not order to break through.
‘Therefore, the personnel who were in the area put him in front of the fact that the guys would break through with a fight,’ the statement said.
Under the command of the officers on the ground, with the help of the joint work of artillery, aerial reconnaissance and allied forces, the defenders from the 1st and 3rd battalions were able to break out of the encirclement in full force.

‘The 31st and 47th Brigades remain the main pillars of defence in that area. Of course, not without the help of seconded units, which are quite numerous,’ the analysts said.
According to their data, as of 24 July, at least three enemy companies were concentrated in the village of Prohres. The Russians have already come close to Ivanivka and Vesele. Beyond these settlements is Hrodivka, the oldest Cossack settlement in the Pokrovsk district. Analysts believe that one of the reasons for the constant advance of the Russians is their total superiority in manpower, and that this is also due to the lack of weapons and ammunition.
The analysts also criticised the words of the spokesman for the Khortytsya unit, who recently said that the Defence Forces were trying to drive the enemy out of Prohres.
What happened before
On 24 July, Deep State reported on enemy attempts to surround a part of the Defence Forces grouping near Progress. The project reported that they had received a request from the soldiers of the 1st and 3rd battalions of the 31st Brigade, who were surrounded. The soldiers reported the situation to their superiors, but the brigade leaders, according to the project, did not want to allow the withdrawal and instead intended to keep the defenders surrounded.
