Last night, the Security Service of Ukraine, in cooperation with other defence units, struck at the Polyova oil depot in the Kursk Region of the Russian Federation.

The information about the attack on the oil depot was confirmed by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

‘Last night, a strike was carried out on the Polyova oil depot in the Kursk Region of the Russian Federation. According to intelligence, enemy air defence systems were operating in the area of the facility's location. Subsequently, powerful explosions and a fire were recorded, probably involving containers with oil products,’ the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informs. 

It is known that the Polyova oil depot consists of 11 tanks with a total volume of 7,000 cubic metres and is used, among other things, to meet the needs of the Russian armed forces. 

The enemy facility was destroyed by the Security Service of Ukraine in cooperation with other components of the defence forces.

Detailed information on the consequences of the destruction of both facilities is currently being clarified.

Earlier it was reported that a fire broke out at an oil depot in the Kursk Region of Russia as a result of a drone attack.
