The Ministry of Defence has signed two defence contracts with Ukrainian manufacturers worth almost UAH 5 billion. The Ministry's press service reports.

The agreements were signed between the Defence Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defence and enterprises of the domestic defence industry during a working visit to the regions of Ukraine by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Defence Minister Rustem Umerov

‘This is extremely important for strengthening the defence capability of our country. After all, we buy and support our own, contributing to the development of our economy and industry,’ Umerov said. 

During the trip, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Rustem Umerov visited defence industry enterprises to get acquainted with their work. The event was also attended by First Deputy Minister Lieutenant General Ivan Havrylyuk and Deputy Minister Dmytro Klimenkov. 

‘We continue to invest in Ukrainian producers, significantly strengthening our defence capabilities. The increase in production volumes confirms the effectiveness of the joint work we are doing with the Ministry of Strategic Industries of Ukraine. This is our key priority,’ said Dmytro Klimenkov.
