The command of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces commented on the personnel decision regarding the commander of the 80th separate air assault brigade of the Halychyna Air Assault Brigade, Emil Ishkulov.
The Air Assault Forces said that Ishkulov should be promoted to a higher position, given the officer's invaluable combat and command experience.
‘This will allow him to apply his knowledge, skills and leadership qualities gained during the planning and organisation of combat operations on the scale of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,’ the command added.
The newly appointed commander of the 80th Brigade, according to the Air Assault Command, is ‘a competent combat officer who is a People's Hero of Ukraine and a holder of the Bohdan Khmelnytskyy Order of the I, II and III degrees, and has been successfully fighting for a long time as part of this legendary brigade.’
