Health Ministry names first eight members of Okhmatdyt restoration council

The Board includes representatives of charitable organisations, international and intergovernmental organisations, and foreign diplomatic missions.

The first eight members of the Okhmatdyt Reconstruction Council are now in place. These are representatives of charitable, international and intergovernmental organisations, and foreign diplomatic missions. There is also one representative of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the National Children's Hospital Okhmatdyt.

Viktor Lyashko announced this on Facebook.

The Council for the Restoration of Okhmatdyt includes the first eight members, including philanthropists who have made the largest contributions to the restoration of Okhmatdyt, as well as international technical assistance, representatives of diplomatic missions of foreign countries in Ukraine, international and intergovernmental organisations and foundations. The Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine and the National Children's Hospital Okhmatdyt also have one representative each on the Board.

Among them:

  1. Jaco Cilliers, Resident Representative of UNDP Ukraine
  2. Donatas Butkus, Minister-Counsellor, Lietuvos ambasada Ukrainoje / Embassy of Lithuania in Ukraine
  3. Igor Katsitadze, Health Specialist, UNICEF Ukraine
  4. Volodymyr Kudrytskyy, Chairman of the Board of NPC Ukrenergo
  5. Nazar Kupybida, Member of the Board of Directors, Vice President for Finance, OKKO Concern GALNAFTOGAZ Joint Stock Company
  6. Yuliya Vysotska, Director of PJSC NPO PRACTIKA
  7. Yevgeniy Gonchar, Head of the Policy Formation Unit for the Medical Guarantees and Medical Care Programme, Department of Medical Services, Ministry of Health of Ukraine
  8. Olena Larina, Internal Control Specialist at the Okhmatdyt National Specialised Children's Hospital

"The first meeting will be held soon. I am grateful to everyone who has agreed and is ready to invest their time, knowledge and skills to ensure a fair, transparent, fast and high-quality process of restoring the modern building of the country's largest children's hospital," said Viktor Lyashko.

In addition, seven representatives of civil society are currently being selected to join the Okhmatdyt Reconstruction Council.

"In order to apply for participation, we ask members of the public who meet the criteria to fill out the form at the link and send it by 14 August 2024 inclusive," the Health Minister added.
