The Russian cities of Engels and Saratov were hit on the night of 26 August. The governor of the Saratov Region said that the air defence system had caused debris to fall into residential buildings in Saratov and Engels.
The Engels airfield is where Russian planes take off from and then attack Ukrainians.
Debris also damaged a residential building in the Engels residential complex, which is even closer to the airfield. The tallest high-rise building in Saratov has been damaged. It is located 12 km from the military airfield, Astra writes.
In Saratov, according to the governor, one woman was hospitalised, while other victims were examined on the spot.
The Saratov airport suspended landings and take-offs.
The Russian Ministry of Defence reported that 20 drones had been shot down.
