The fire destroyed 25 buildings (houses and outbuildings) and 70 hectares of forest flooring.

On 27 August, the Russian army fired at the border of Chernihiv Region. Russians conducted numerous artillery strikes at the settlements of the Semenivka community in the Novhorod-Siverskyy district. As a result, two houses caught fire in one of the settlements of the community, after which the fire quickly spread to other households.

This was reported by the National Police and the Office of the Prosecutor General.

The fire destroyed 25 buildings (residential houses and outbuildings) and 70 hectares of forest flooring.

Thanks to the coordinated actions of police and rescuers, the fire was contained and prevented from spreading to other houses of civilians in the village.

Information about the damage is being clarified.

Police opened a criminal investigation into the incident under Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war).
