The Verkhovna Rada dismissed Minister for Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin.

243 MPs voted in favour. This was reported in a broadcast of the meeting by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko.

Kamyshin is the only minister who came to report today before his resignation is considered.

He has held this position since March 2023, and before that he was the chairman of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia: first, in August 2021, in the status of acting chairman, and then in October - in full.

According to LB.ua, Kamyshin was to be appointed deputy head of the Presidential Office to replace Oleksiy Kuleba.

  • LB.ua's sources informed about the upcoming personnel changes on 2 September. At that time, according to the editorial board, the Rada was preparing to appoint new ministers for the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Ministry of Regional Development.
  • On 3 September, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak said that the list of dismissed and appointed ministers would be wider, and that Dmytro Kuleba might be among those to be dismissed.
  • On Tuesday evening, resignations were received from Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin, Minister of Justice Denys Malyuska, and Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources Ruslan Strilts. The head of the State Property Fund also resigned.
  • Then, Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk, who headed the Ministry of Reintegration, also resigned.
  • Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Olha Stefanishyna also resigned. According to LB.ua, she will become Minister of Justice.
  • The ruling party called it a "big reset". According to the head of the Servant of the People faction, half of the government is to be replaced.
  • Replacing the Cabinet and the Prime Minister during martial law is prohibited by law.
