Seven civilians were killed in a morning missile attack on Lviv by the Russian Federation. In Lviv, 5 September was declared a Day of Mourning for the victims of the Russian missile attack.
Mayor Andriy Sadovyy named the victims.
"Today Lviv has lost seven of its residents:
- Emiliya Bazylevych - 7 years old
- Daryna Bazylevych - 18 years old
- Yaryna Bazylevych - 21 years old
- Yevheniya Bazylevych - 43 years old
- Iryna Demydova - 52 years old
- Oleksandr Pohoretskyy - 54 years old
- Yuriy Arabskyy - 55 years old".
Information about the funeral and farewell to the victims will be announced later. On 5 September, Lviv declared the Day of Mourning for the victims of the Russian missile attack.
"We are declaring a Day of Mourning in Lviv on Thursday, 5 September, in memory of all those who died as a result of the Russian attack on our city. Eternal memory," said Andriy Sadovyy.
Missile attack on Lviv on 4 September
- A nighttime Russian attack on 4 September in Lviv killed seven people, including a woman and her three daughters. Another 53 were injured. Emergency workers rescued 12 civilians.
- At least seven local architectural monuments were damaged in Lviv as a result of Russia's night attack. In particular, on Konovaltsya and Kokorudza streets.
- As of 12:00, 50 people, including 8 children, have already sought medical care at the First Medical Unit hospitals.
