The Russian army executed four members of the National Guard of Ukraine near Selydove. The Ukrainians were performing combat missions near the town. Around 13:00 on 6 October, Russian troops began an assault on the fortifications and captured the Ukrainians, the Prosecutor General's Office said.
The Russians interrogated the prisoners and filmed it. The prisoners were unarmed and injured.
"The next day, the Defence Forces regained their lost positions and, during the search operations, found the bodies of the killed Ukrainian servicemen," the prosecutor's office said.
Prosecutors have launched a pre-trial investigation into the war crime.
- Russians systematically execute captured Ukrainian soldiers. On 1 October, there were reports of the most massive execution: Russian military killed 16 Ukrainians in the Pokrovsk sector.
- On 21 October, it was reported that two more soldiers were killed in the area of Selydove. In total, more than 100 prisoners were killed.
