President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reported on his phone conversation with the winner of the US presidential election, Donald Trump, on X.
According to the head of state, the conversation was "excellent". Zelenskyy congratulated the Republican on his election and said it was made possible by an "impressive election campaign". The president paid tribute to Trump's family and team for their "great work".
The leaders agreed to "maintain close dialogue and develop cooperation". Zelenskyy claims that "strong and unwavering US leadership is vital for the world and a just peace".
