On the night of 8 November, Ukraine's air defence shot down 62 Russian attack drones and 4 X-59/69 missiles launched by Russia. This was reported by the Air Force.
In total, Russian forces struck with an Iskander-M ballistic missile from Rostov Region, four X-59/69 guided missiles from the airspace of Belgorod Region, 92 Shahed-type attack UAVs and unidentified drones from Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Orel in Russia and Chauda in Crimea. Russian tactical aircraft conducted KAB strikes in Kharkiv and Sumy Regions.
As of 09.00, 4 X-59/69 guided missiles and 62 Russian UAVs were confirmed downed in Odesa, Mykolayiv, Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Khmelnytskyy and Ivano-Frankivsk Regions.
26 Russian UAVs were lost in different regions of Ukraine. One of them is still present in Ukrainian airspace. Combat operations are ongoing.
The nighttime Russian attack resulted in casualties and damage to civilian homes and property in Odesa, Kharkiv, Sumy and Khmelnytskyy Regions.
