Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he had approved the candidacies of more than 30 ambassadors.
He said this in an evening video address on 20 December.
The candidates include former Kremlin political prisoner Nariman Dzhelyal, Director of the New Europe Center, Senior Associate Fellow at the Atlantic Council Alyona Hetmanchuk, and Head of the Diplomatic Mission to Brazil Andriy Melnyk.
‘Today, our diplomatic team approved the list of new Ukrainian ambassadors. I have approved more than 30 decisions. Among them are Nariman Dzhelyal to Turkey, Alyona Hetmanchuk as Ukraine's representative to NATO, Andriy Melnyk as Ukraine's representative to the UN, and others. These and other decrees will be signed soon, in accordance with diplomatic procedures,’ the Head of State said.
