An elderly woman was killed and 4 other civilians were wounded in the Donetsk Region as a result of Russian shelling. Pokrovsk, Kostyantynivka and Lyman came under fire.
This was reported by the Donetsk regional prosecutor's office.
On 20 December, at dawn, the troops of the aggressor state attacked Kostyantynivka. A multi-storey building was hit by a munition, probably a FAB-250 from the UMPK (bomb kit). Rescuers unblocked the body of a 75-year-old woman from the rubble of the destroyed building.
At 7 am, the enemy shelled Lyman with artillery. A 51-year-old local resident sustained injuries on the territory of a garage cooperative. He was taken to hospital with mine-blast trauma, head and chest wounds.
Three more men were injured in Pokrovsk as a result of hostile attacks. They were diagnosed with head trauma, cut wounds of the body, shrapnel wounds of the shoulder and thigh.
Apartment blocks, private houses, garages and warehouses were damaged in the settlements.
Pre-trial investigations into war crimes have been initiated under the procedural supervision of the Kostyantynivka, Pokrovsk and Slovyansk District Prosecutor's Offices (Article 438(1) and (2) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
