Lithuania is expanding its support for Ukraine's energy sector and will provide its own equipment from shutdown nuclear and thermal power plants.
This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal at a briefing with his Lithuanian counterparts.
‘We are grateful for Lithuania's transfer of equipment from the decommissioned Inhalyn NPP and Vilnius TPP. We look forward to further cooperation in this area,’ Shmyhal said.
Lithuania has also announced its readiness to invest in the production of the Palyanytsya drone missile, which is part of our long-range programme. ‘We highly appreciate Lithuania's comprehensive assistance. We thank Lithuania and all our partners for their willingness to invest in Ukrainian defence,’ the Prime Minister stressed.
