Zelenskyy appoints new ambassadors, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to UN Office in Geneva

The President has appointed Maryana Betsa to the post of Head of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO.

The President's Office website has published decrees appointing new ambassadors to a number of countries. A new Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Office in Geneva was also appointed.

In particular, Yevhen Tsymbalyuk was appointed Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Office and other international organisations in Geneva. 

He was also appointed by presidential decrees:

  • Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Slovenia Petro Beshta.
  • Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Hungary Fedir Shandor.
  • Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Lithuania Olha Nikitchenko.
  • Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of the Philippines Yuliya Fediv.
  • Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Rwanda Vyacheslav Yatsyuk.
  • Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Democratic Republic of the Congo Vasyl Haminyan.

In addition, the President dismissed Iryna Borovets from the post of Head of the National Commission of Ukraine for UNESCO and appointed Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Maryana Betsa in her place.
