About 30,000 drones will be sent to Ukraine after a drone coalition led by the UK and Latvia placed contracts worth £45 million.

This is stated on the British government website.

Funding for the new batch comes from the UK, Denmark, the Netherlands, Latvia and Sweden.

"These modern drones will help Ukraine fight Russian aggression by enabling the Armed Forces of Ukraine to manoeuvre past Russian air defences and engage enemy positions and armoured vehicles," the statement said.

For this purpose, the UK has contributed £7.5 million. So far, the fund that finances the purchase of UAVs for Ukraine has raised about 73 million pounds.
