Polish journalist Paweł Reszka to present his book on war in Chernivtsi

The journalist will be speaking as part of a small tour, having previously spoken in Kyiv and Lviv.

The well-known Polish investigative journalist, war correspondent and reporter Paweł Reszka is visiting Ukraine for a series of meetings to talk about the literature of fact, modern Russia, war and journalism. As part of the tour, he presented the Ukrainian translation of his high-profile book A Table Overlooking the Kremlin, published in late 2024 by Choven Publishing House with the support of the Polish Institute in Kyiv. Moderator and translator: Oleksandr Boychenko. After Kyiv and Lviv, Paweł Reszka will give the last presentation of the tour in Chernivtsi. Paweł Reszka is one of the most renowned journalists in contemporary Poland. He is the author of many reportage and investigative books, the most famous of which are The Place After EmpireMy WarFar from Wawel, Far from Love, Greed. How Big Companies Deceive Us, Black People, Small Gods. About the Insensitivity of Polish Doctors, Small Gods 2. How Poles Die. He has worked for Rzeczpospolita, Dziennik, Tygodnik Powszechny, Newsweek Polska. Since 2019, he has been a journalist at Polityka weekly.

Winner of the Dariusz Fikus Prize (2005). Three times (2010, 2018, 2022) he was awarded the prestigious Radio ZET Andrzej Wojciechowski Prize – for the third time for a series of reports on Russia’s war against Ukraine. Winner of Radio ZET’s Journalist of the Decade special award (2019). Multiple winner of the Grand Press competition.
