The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, posted on Telegram that at dawn, Russians launched a large-scale attack on Odesa using attack drones.
Air defence forces were actively engaged. Despite their efforts, the city has suffered destruction, fires, and damage to civilian infrastructure: residential buildings, an inclusive centre, a preschool, garages, and other structures.
As of 8:59 a.m., one person was confirmed dead and 17 others injured.
The deceased is a woman in her 60s. One more person remains trapped under the rubble.
Among the injured are a pregnant woman and a 17-year-old girl.
“Russians destroyed residential buildings in the historic centre of Odesa, a kindergarten, and an inclusive centre. The elimination of the consequences of the enemy attack is underway – all authorised services are working at the scene. Law enforcement officers are documenting another crime committed by Russian terrorists against the civilian population of Odesa Region,” said Kiper.
“At least five wounded, including one child, have been reported so far,” the Regional Military Administration head added.
