President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed Decree No. 494/2025 appointing Olha Stefanishyna Special Envoy of the President of Ukraine for the Development of Cooperation with the United States of America.

According to the Head of State, in this status, Olha Stefanishyna will work to keep up the pace in relations with the United States while all the necessary procedures for approving her candidacy for the post of Ukraine's Ambassador to the United States are underway.

"I am grateful to Olha for her work on European and Euro-Atlantic integration. This is a successful work. Much has been achieved. In a few years, we have come closer to the European Union than in the previous few decades. Olha also took part in negotiations with the US on a new format of our economic cooperation and the creation of the US-Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund. We will continue to work with the United States on this basis, adding mutually beneficial economic content to our political and diplomatic cooperation," Zelenskyy said.

Earlier, LB's sources confirmed that Stefanishyna was going to be appointed ambassador to the United States. Kyiv submitted three candidates to Washington: her, Rustem Umerov and Denys Shmyhal.

For the past five years, Stefanishyna has been in charge of European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
