On 23 October, the Dnipro Centre for Contemporary Culture (DCCC) will open the exhibition Everything for Everyone, which is part of the Kyiv Biennale 2025.

The exhibition will feature works created in various media by contemporary artists (Katya Buchatska, Sofiya Hera and Kamila Yanar, Liya Dostlyeva, Olya Yeryemyeyeva, Olesya Kashyvska, Yana Kononova, Tetyana Kostyuchenko, Elias Parvulesco, Adrian Pepe, Clemens Poole, Angelina Rozhkova, Selma Selman, Taco Taal, Valeriya Fedorenko), which explore the themes of family history, migration, and trauma. They interact with archival photos by photojournalist Mykola Bilokon from the Pokrovsk Historical Museum and photographer Frankie Raffles from the University of St Andrews (Scotland).

“The exhibition raises questions about how archives are created, who has access to them, what role they play in wartime, and how they form unique testimonies about places that have disappeared or been destroyed,” explain the organisers. The exhibition began with reflections on two archives brought together by a British Council project: the collections of photographer Frankie Raffles at the University of St Andrews and photojournalist Mykola Bilokon, which are cared for by the Pokrovsk Historical Museum. Reflections on what an archive is unfold against the backdrop of the reality of war, in which the Pokrovsk Historical Museum, which preserves Bilokon's legacy, was evacuated, and the city itself is gradually falling into ruin. In this context, the title of the exhibition, ‘Everything for Everyone’ — a phrase from the Raffles archive — can be read both as a promise and as a provocation: whose stories are we archiving today, and for whom?”

The curatorial team for the exhibition consists of Victoria Donovan, Kateryna Rusetska, and Natasha Chichasova. According to their explanation, the exhibition Everything for Everyone seeks to create a space for the intersection of various artistic practices that exist in interaction with archival materials, family history, and documentation. In this dialogue, the curators suggest paying attention to other contexts and geographies that are confronted with loss, the legacy of the colonial past, and violence.

The exhibition will be on display at the Centre for Contemporary Culture in Dnipro until 7 February 2026.

The exhibition is part of the research project nipro until 7 February 2026.

The exhibition is part of the research project Heroes? The Working Portrait of the 20th Century — Archive and Artistic Reflection, held with the support of the British Council’s programme Support for Cultural Activities in Ukraine with the Participation of the United Kingdom.
