In October 2025, a series of concerts by Ukrainian musicians took place in Brazil with the support of the Ukrainian Institute and the Embassy of Ukraine in Brazil. The musical programme brought together works by Ukrainian, Brazilian, Austrian and German composers, creating a dialogue between cultures.

The first concert took place on 16 October at the Claudio Santoro National Theatre in Brasília. Ukrainian artists – conductor Artem Lonhinov and violinist Dmytro Udovychenko – presented to the public works by Yevhen Stankovych and Levko Kolodub, which have become symbols of the spiritual resilience and depth of Ukrainian music.

The programme was based on the Anthology of Ukrainian Classical Music, compiled by Lyubov Morozova and Olha Lozinska, curators at the Ukrainian Institute.

Dmytro Udovychenko’s subsequent concerts took place in Manaus, Rio de Janeiro and Curitiba. Together with the Amazon Philharmonic Orchestra, the musician opened his tour in Brazil – an event that continues the century-old tradition of presenting Ukrainian music on the Brazilian stage, which began in the 1920s with the tour of the Ukrainian Republican Choir conducted by Oleksandr Koshyts.
