The European Union Music Moves Europe Awards 2026 has announced this year's winners, recognising the most outstanding and progressive young artists from across Europe. Ukrainian performer Carpetman won in one of the categories, continuing the tradition of success for Ukrainian musicians on this prestigious European platform.

Carpetman is an enigmatic young singer signed to the ENKO label who performs while hiding behind a carpet mask. Inspired by the work of Kaleo, Hippie Sabotage, Kygo, Elderbrook and Jeremy Soul, the artist began his musical journey in mid-2023. During this time, he has written and released a number of singles, released the mini-album Struggling By Myself, performed at hundreds of concerts outside Ukraine, and sold out his first solo concert in the United States.

As of today, Carpetman has over 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify and is preparing for a European tour. As the winner of the Music Moves Europe Awards 2026, the artist received €10,000 to develop his international career.

The winners of the Music Moves Europe Awards (MME Awards) were officially announced during a festive ceremony at the Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) festival in Groningen (Netherlands) on Thursday, 15 January.

Along with Carpetman (Ukraine), the winners of the MME Awards 2026 were: Camille Yembe (Belgium), Della (Cyprus), Sarah Julia (Netherlands), Sofie Royer (Austria), and the jury prize went to Lia Kali (Spain). She also won the MME Public Choice Award, gaining the most support from music fans across Europe and beyond.
