Maria Foya is a Kyiv-based illustrator who collaborates with numerous media outlets, publishers and companies, including The Guardian, Die Zeit, The New York Times, The New Statesman and TSUM Kyiv.

Her illustration created for a Die Zeit feature on bullying in schools has been shortlisted for this year’s World Illustration Awards.

Another of her works, created for the Everything is Translation exhibition at Mystetskyy Arsenal in Kyiv, has also been shortlisted. For the exhibition, Foya produced an illustration exploring the concept of ‘Nature’.

The World Illustration Awards were established by the British Association of Illustrators. Both emerging and established artists are eligible to enter. The works of the shortlisted artists will be exhibited internationally over the coming year.
