On the night of 10 August, the Russian army attacked Sumy with guided aerial bombs, carrying out five strikes.

Civilian infrastructure was damaged. There were hits at three locations in two districts—Kovpakivskyy and Zarichnyy—reported Regional Military Administration head Artem Kobzar.

At this time, five people are known to have been injured. They are receiving the necessary medical care. Preliminary reports indicate there are no fatalities,” the statement said.

According to Kobzar, the shelling took place at around 3 a.m.

“At 9 a.m., a штаб for dealing with the aftermath of the emergency will be set up. Dear residents of Sumy, I wish everyone a quiet night; may God protect you all,” Kobzar commented.
