Today, 19 August, 103 Ukrainian service members returned from Russian captivity. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this on social media.

Those released include defenders from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service, and the National Guard.

Among those who returned to Ukraine were soldiers who took part in the defense of Mariupol and also defended the country in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Dnipro, and Sumy sectors.

"We remember each and every person who is still in captivity. We are doing everything possible to bring all our people home," Zelenskyy wrote.

The head of state expressed gratitude to Ukrainian service members who help replenish the exchange pool, as well as to the team working to secure the release of Ukrainians from Russian captivity.
