On the night of 24 August, Russia launched anti-ship missiles and guided air-launched missiles, as well as drones, against Ukraine. Air defences neutralised 114 enemy targets; however, impacts were recorded at 22 locations, and debris fell in five places. Some enemy missiles did not reach their targets, and information about them is being clarified.

The Air Force reported this. 

Starting from 18:00 on 23 August, the enemy attacked with two Oniks anti-ship missiles from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, six Kh-31P and Kh-59 guided air-launched missiles from airspace over the Black Sea, as well as 143 Shahed strike UAVs (a third of them jet-powered), Gerbera, S8000 "Banderol” and Parodiya-type decoy drones from the following directions: Kursk, Millerovo, Oryol, Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia, temporarily occupied Donetsk, and Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

The main direction of the strike was Odesa region.

The air attack was repelled by aircraft, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defence Forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, as of 09:00, air defences shot down and suppressed an Oniks anti-ship missile, two Kh-31P and Kh-59 guided air-launched missiles and two S8000 "Banderol”, as well as 109 enemy UAVs of the Shahed and Gerbera types and drones of other types in the south, north and east of the country.

As of the morning, the attack is ongoing, with several enemy UAVs in the airspace.
