On the night of 1 September, Ukraine’s Defence Forces carried out strikes on a number of military facilities used by Russian troops in the occupied territories of Ukraine and in Russia. Among the targets hit were storage and launch sites for attack drones, a communications hub and a command-and-observation post.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
In particular, Ukrainian forces struck facilities linked to the storage, preparation and launch of attack UAVs in Donetsk and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.
In Myrne in occupied Crimea, a communications hub used by Russian forces was hit. In Polohy, Zaporizhzhia region, an enemy command-and-observation post came under attack, while in Verkhniokamianka in Luhansk region, an area where the adversary’s military equipment was concentrated was struck.
In addition, in Borysivka in Russia’s Belgorod region Ukrainian forces hit a fuel and lubricants depot.
The General Staff noted that the extent of the damage inflicted on the enemy is still being clarified.
The military also confirmed a strike that took place on 30 August in the area of Tsymbulova in Russia’s Oryol region. There, Ukrainian forces destroyed or damaged a launcher and a drone storage site.
“Work on the enemy’s key military targets continues. More to come!” the General Staff promised.
