Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has relieved Oleksandr Kamyshin of his duties as the President of Ukraine’s adviser on strategic issues.

The head of state signed the relevant Decree No. 844/2026 on 31 August.

“Relieve OLEKSANDR MYKOLAYOVYCH KAMYSHIN of his duties as Adviser to the President of Ukraine on strategic issues (non-staff),” the decree states.

  • Kamyshin headed the Ministry for Strategic Industries in March 2023. In 2021–2023, he was Chairman of the Management Board of Ukrzaliznytsia, from which he resigned with plans to lead UZ’s office in Europe. After stepping down, he became a non-staff adviser to President Zelenskyy.
  • Before leading Ukrzaliznytsia, Kamyshin was a manager at Dragon Capital and SCM, and also founded Latifundist Media, Grano Group, AgTech Farm and Fortior Capital.
